Invitation

Dear Colleagues,

18th Hong Kong International Cancer Congress
Theme: Integration and Collaboration – The Way Forward

We write to cordially invite you to join the 18th Hong Kong International Cancer Congress to be held on 3 – 5 November, 2011 in Cheung Kung Hai Conference Centre, Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine, The University of Hong Kong. The 18th Hong Kong International Cancer Congress is being held in a unique celebratory year which marks 100 years centenary celebration of the University of Hong Kong. The University has a distinguished legacy, its Medical School was inaugurated in 1882 and the University was formally incorporated in 1911, the first medical school and university ever established in the territory.

The Hong Kong International Cancer Congress provides an important international communication platform in addressing key issues in cancer strategy, cancer care and cancer research. It showcases the best of cancer care and cancer research by assembling prominent physicians, leading scientists and medical oncologists to share their experience and knowledge with us. The meeting will provide insight into the cause and processes of the disease. It gives practicing physicians and practitioners a review of the current treatment management of common malignancies and palliative care. For researchers and scientists, a review in the latest developments in molecular medicine and cancer prevention.

This year, our theme is "Integration and Collaboration – The Way Forward". We strive to provide a high quality multi-disciplinary and multi-professional programme designed to attract participants from all cancer research disciplines, which will further promote active dialogue as well as forge new collaborations with international and regional colleagues. Through State-of-the-Art Lectures, professionally-led workshops, educational symposia and panel discussions, this meeting will address the many key issues in oncology research and breakthrough advances. For information on registration and abstract submission, please visit our website: www.hkicc.org.

The 2½ day conference shall provide opportunities for professional development, networking and broadening your horizons. We look forward to welcoming you in November 2011!
